La Manche is full of charming towns to discover during your getaway. Granville, often dubbed the “Monaco of the North”, offers lively lanes, a harbour, the Christian Dior museum and coastal panoramas.

Coutances, with its Gothic cathedral, will appeal to lovers of architecture and gardens. Not far away, Cherbourg opens its doors to the famous Cité de la Mer and its submarines, a must-see for marine discovery enthusiasts.

Finally, don’t miss Avranches and its Jardin des Plantes, or the typical village of Port Racine, France’s smallest port, for strolls to the rhythm of the tide.

It’s impossible to talk about tourism in La Manche without mentioning Mont-Saint-Michel, a medieval jewel listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Other must-sees in La Manche include the D-Day landing beaches, places of shocking remembrance, the Cotentin fortifications, the Pointe du Cotentin, and the Chausey islands for a unique maritime escapade.

To immerse yourself in our rural heritage, visit the Ferme-Musée du Cotentin in Sainte-Mère-Église, which recreates farming practices of yesteryear.
